AURORA FAGGIOLI
COLORATURA  ALTO

Born in Bolzano, Italy in 1992, where she studied piano and viola at the Conservatory of Bolzano "C. Monteverdilocal Music Conservatory. 


At the age of 14 she started opera singing taking private lessons and her solo career invited to take part in various gala concerts and Opera Festivals performed at the presence of local authorities and abroad in Prague, Locarno and Paris.

At 16 she reached the semi-final of the AS.LI.CO competition – opera “Hänsel und Gretel” by Humperdink – competing in the part of Hänsel.

At 17 she won Special Mention at the Premio Nazionale delle Arti competition for the singing category held by Italian Ministry of Education, University and Research (MIUR).

 

At 18 she won I° Prize at the V° International Competition held by F.M. Martini, Centro sperimentale lirico in Mantua.

At 19 she graduated in opera singing at F.A. Bonporti Conservatory in Trento, obtaining maximum points and special mention.

She sang in the XI° Pergolesi-Spontini
Jesi Festival of the ‘Accademia metastasiana’ accompained and conducted by M.A.Coen;  she performed in the occasion of the Festival Filosofia in Modena, "‘Extended voices’ musica, video e ritratti della voce contemporanea".

In 2012 she began working with Maestro G.Kuhn’s  Montegral's Accademy and performing in a series of concerts and operas including the inauguration of the new Tiroler Festspielhaus Erl with her debut in ALTO's role in J.S. Bach’s "Mass in B Minor".

In 2013, at the age of 21, she reached the finals of the Cesti – competition (Internationaler Gesangswettbewerb für Barockoper); she was invited to take part in gala concerts by Purpur Opera in Ossiach and in Wien accompanied and conducted by Maestro M.Fendre and Maestro H.P.Ochsenhofer at the presence of the local authorities .

Invited by Spontini Opera Festival she sang in the first performance in modern times of Spontini’s “Gott segne den König” with Maestro C. Rovaris.

 

In 2014, at the age of 21, she debuted ANNIO’s role in Mozart’s “La Clemenza di Tito” at

Teatro Comunale di Modena and at the Teatro Valli di Reggio Emilia with Maestro E.Hull, Maestro W.Pagliaro.

At the same time she took the master degree in opera singing at F.A. Bonporti Conservatory in Trento gaining maximum points and special mention.

She was again called by Modena’s Theater to sing “Il vagabondo delle Stelle” - a new opera taken from the famous J. London’s novel - staged by Maestro R.Cucchi;

She debuted the
Pergolesi’s "Stabat Mater" at the Festival de Chambord in France with Maesto J.P.Sarcos.

She also debuted TIBRINO from Cesti’s “Orontea” at Tiroler Landes Theater in Innsbruck, with Maestro D.Bates, Maestro S.Vizioli.

She was invited to take part at the 10th Masterclass Neue Stimmen in Hannover directed by Maestro G.Kuhn ,  Francisco Araíza and Cheryl Studer;

She debuted 
DORABELLA from Mozart’s “Così fan tutte” at Tiroler Festspielhaus Erl with Maestro G.Kuhn, Anna Princeva,Sophie Gordeladze and Michael Kupfer-Radecky .

 

In 2015 she performed AMORE in Berlioz’s “Orphee et Eurydice” at the Teatro Massimo in Palermo with Maestro G.Grazioli, Marianna Pizzolato  and in Gluck’s “Orfeo ed Euridice” at the San Carlo’s Theater in Neaples with Maestro F.Ommasini and Maestro K.Armitage.

She was invited to participate to the Rossini Opera Academy in Lunenburg NS , Canada with Maestro A.Zedda where she debuted the role of ALTO in Rossini’s “La Petite Messe Solenelle” .

She debuted 
ROSINA's role in Rossini’s “Il Barbiere di Siviglia” at Tiroler Festspiel in Erl with Maestro G.Kuhn.

In  2016 she debuted the MELIBEA’s role in Rossini’s “Il viaggio a Reims” at Teatro Rossini in Pesaro ROF Rossini’s Opera Accademy and CENERENTOLA’s role in Rossini’s “La Cenerentola” in Lunenburg with Maestro A.Zedda.

She sang ISABELLA’s main role from Rossini’s “L’italiana in Algeri” at Tiroler Festspiel in Erl with Maestro G.Kuhn.

In 2017 she took part in the “ Master Class Juan Diego Flórez, conectando talento e innovación” conducted by J.D.Flórez at the Petit Palau in Barcellona (broadcasted on streaming by Telefonica).


She sang again the main role in Rossini’s CENERENTOLA under Maestro A.Zedda’s guidance at the Teatro Rossini in Pesaro.

She was invited she was invited to represent the Pesaro Rossini Opera Academy ROF at the Bolshoi opera Academy in Moscow and to sing BARONESSA ASPASIA in Rossini’s “La Pietra del Paragone” at the ROF Rossini Opera Festival Pesaro with Maestro D.Rustioni and Maestro P.L.Pizzi.

She won the Opera Studio de Tenerife 2017 .

She took part in the “Master Class Mariella Devia” .

She sang again CENERENTOLA’s main role at Sibiu Opera Festival with Maestro G.Beselea.

 

In 2018 she was again ROSINA in “Il Barbiere di Siviglia” at the Tiroler Festspiel in Erl with Maestro G.Kuhn and at the Teatro Regio in Torino;

She sang  ROMEO in “I Capuleti e i Montecchi” at the  Comunale Theater in Bologna;

she sang also FLORA in Verdi’s “La traviata” at the Opera de Tenerife.

To celebrate Rossini’s 150° anniversary, she was invited to represent the Pesaro Rossini Opera Academy ROF at the Den Norske Opera & Ballett in Oslo.

She was again ROSINA in Rossini’s "Il barbiere di Siviglia" at the Teatro Comunale di Savona under the Maestro A.Sisillo 's guidance and MELIBEA in Rossini’s “Il viaggio a Reims” at the Opera de Tenerife.

In 2019 she debuted CHERUBINO in Mozart’s “Le nozze di Figaro” at the Teatro Coccia in Novara and at the Teatro Alighieri in Ravenna with  the Orchestra Cherubini, conducted by Maestro E.Yashima and Maestro G.Ferrara and HÄNSEL's role in Humperdinck’s “Hänsel und Gretel” at the Opera de Tenerife.

She sang for the first time ALTO's role in Rossini's Stabat Mater“  in Pisa Cathedral (with Haydn Orchestra - Bozen); She was again CHERUBINO in Weimar und HÄNSEL in Cagliari in theTeatro alla Scala' production.
Invited by Francisco Araiza, she sang with him at the Cuvillés Theater in Munich and at the
 Weinbrennersaal in Baden-Baden  with Philarmonie Baden-Baden  conducted by Maestro C.Domínguez-Nieto.
                                                                                                                               
 In 2020 she sang the  ALTO's role in G.B.Pergolesi's "Stabat Mater" at the Teatro Coccia in Novara with Maestro M.Beltrami and R.Bonajuto.
She debuted the ALTO 's role in W.A.Mozart's "Der Messias" KV572 at the  Teatro Verdi in Trieste, conducted by Maestro F.M.Sardelli.   
In 2021 she sang again  Pergolesi's "Stabat Mater"  in Verona and Trapani.
She  debuted  the  RINALDO 's role in G.F.Händel's "Rinaldo" at the Opera de Tenerife and  MERCÉDES 's role in  G.Bizet's "Carmen"  at the Teatro San Carlo in Neaples alongside Elina Garanča and Brian Jadge conducted by Maestro Dan Ettinger.

Winner of  the Concorso Internazionale di Musica Sacra 2021's competition in Rom.

In 2022 she will sing the ALTO's role in Vivaldi's Stabat Mater und Dixit Dominus RV 594 conducted by Maestro  F.M.Sardelli at the Teatro Comunale di Ferrara; she will debut the role of Andromaca in Rossini's Ermione and the Alto role in the famous Stabat Mater at Slowacki Theater in Krakow and at Belcanto Opera Festival Rossini in Wilbad under  Maestro Antonino Fogliani guidance and  ALTO's role in   Händel's "Messiah" and "Israel in Aegypt" at the Slezské Dvadlo Opava Theater, at the Karditsa Festival in Greece, with the Mihai Jora Filarmonica in Bacau.

She is invited to sing as Alto soloist at Gala concert   alongside   Francisco Araiza under the baton of Carlos Dominguez-Nieto at Cuvillés Theater München  and   Kurhaus Baden Baden  with Philarmonie Baden Baden.
She wins Honarable Mention  of  the Vienna New Year's Concert international Competiton in Wien.
In 2023-2024 she will sing again the main role of Isabella's in the Rossini's L'italiana in Algeri at the Teatro Goldoni in Livorno and at the Deutsche Oper am Rhein in Düsseldorf-Duisburg under  Maestro Antonino Fogliani guidance.
